President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council Dr. Hussien Ali Mwinyi has said that religious institutions have a great contribution in the Government to promote peace in Zanzibar. He said that these institutions are raising young people in terms of faith, professionalism, courage and patriotism for the nation and their leaders, it strengthens peace and determination to achieve development.
President Dr. Mwinyi said this at the White House, Zanzibar when he spoke to the leadership of the Sunni Jamaat community when they arrived to introduce themselves.
